Matthew 27:32–28:15
How’s Your Heart?

The death and resurrection of Jesus reveal more than just what happened to Him, they expose what’s happening in us. In the sermon this Sunday, we’ll look at the contrasting responses to the cross and the empty tomb. The religious leaders saw every sign that Jesus was the Messiah, yet their hearts remained hard. They lied, bribed, and ignored the miracle right in front of them just to stay comfortable in their own truth. But the women at the tomb had soft hearts. They were moved, changed, and filled with joy that couldn’t be contained.
Our hearts respond the same way today. A hard heart resists the Good News, staying unmoved even when confronted with the power of the cross. But a soft heart is like a spiritual defibrillator—shocked to life, changed again and again each time we remember what Jesus has done.
Join us this Sunday as we ask the question, “How’s your heart?”
